If your pet is overweight or underweight, he or she can be more susceptible to disease and injury than an animal that maintains a healthy figure. Obesity can be a complicating factor in heart conditions, arthritis, liver conditions and other ailments.
It can be difficult to decide which food is right for you pet's diet, especially with so many different types on the market to choose from. Our veterinarians are available for nutritional counseling to help you pick the right product to suit your dog or cat's needs. Dietary evaluations are also made during our wellness exams. For pets with conditions that require specialized nutrition, our hospital also stocks a number of prescription foods to help manage your pet's medical conditions and keep them feeling their best. We carry Hills Prescription Diets and Royal Canin Foods.
In order for a pet to recieve the greatest benefit from veterinarian-recommended weight management programs, compliance and follow-ups on the part of the owner are critical (i.e., visits, weigh-ins and telephone consultations). Please call us to schedule an appointment if you would like to speak about a weight loss program for your pet.
Awesome care as always. I have been taking my Fur family to White Pine since 1992 and feel fortunate to have such high quality care in Park City.
